Must do at Disneyland – Jedi Training – Trials of the Temple

If you have a youngling wishing to be a Jedi knight then Jedi Training – Trials of the Temple at Disneyland will be a huge thrill for them. The last time we visited Disneyland in California was in 2015, so this was a new experience for us to try – and it’s a total winner.

Jedi Training is an interactive experience and is so, so brilliant for kids and their parents who get to watch them take part in a stage show, hone their Jedi skills and defeat the evil Dark Vadar and Kylo Ren.

Em absolutely loved it and I had such a great time watching her. As with everything Disney does, it’s organised to the most minute detail and executed with perfection.

Jedi trainees arriving for their TIME TO SHINE!

Here’s how to join up and make sure your child gets a spot in the show.

1. Make sure your kids are between four and 12 to take part.

Easy!

2. Get to Disneyland early and register

This needs to be at the top of your list on the day you want to join, as all children must register to be part of the training.

Registration opens when the park opens (Magic Morning early hours included) and your Jedi-trainees must be there when they are being signed up.

There is a registration area next to the exit to the Star Wars Launch Bay in Tomorrowland.

You really need to go there when you arrive – it’s a popular show and places fill up. So make sure its the first thing you do – it doesn’t take long and you can do it while you download MaxPass and grab your fast passes.

We went there as soon as we got into the park – at opening. There wasn’t a queue but spots were filling up as people streamed past.

Learning Jedi skills as part of the awesome Disney Jedi Training – Trials of the Temple stage show

You’ll be asked to choose your time as there are a few sessions doing the day:

10:30 AM, 11:35 AM, 12:40 PM, 2:25 PM, 3:30 PM, 4:35 PM

We chose 2.25pm cause it gave us a chance to run around the Park and then have a bit of a chill (me) in the early afternoon while watching the show.

We were given a pass and told to return at 2pm for our session. You have to come back a little early as the kids are dressed in their outfits for the show, given instructions and then brought over to the stage.

Make sure you are on time as unfilled spots are given away to a waitlist.

Preparing to battle the evil Star Wars villans!

3. Checking in for your show

We were back at 2pm and gave in our pass. The kids sat together until everyone had arrived and then were dressed in their robes. Parents were taken together to the stage to wait for the show. The stage is at the Tomorrowland Terrace next to the Galactic Grill.

4. Watch and enjoy!

I’m not going to tell you all about the show – the pics will give you an idea – but it’s a proper production and is so engaging PLUS your child will go one on one to defeat Darth Vadar or Kylo Ren. What more could you ask for?

You’re going down!!

Excellence rating? 10 out of 10!

Thank you to Disney for hosting our visit to the Park.
